Once again this year I did Race for the Cure. This time around I was doing it for 2 important people in my life
Karen is my mother-in-law's best friend and Suzan has been in my life Forever! She was my dance teacher for number of years and holds a special place in my heart. Once again as I saw the sea of people I got emotional. I don't know why this race does it to me everytime. I guess it's just special. This year was a way easier walking it since I had been used to running. We walked with Karen and her family, way awesome! Her boys were walking together the whole time! When we got to the end they all held onto thier mom and walked across the finish line together. And you guessed, my emotions took over. What a wonderful experience to know that their mom overcame breast cancer and is cancer free! I of course loved having the company of Bonnie. I love that we can do this every year together and spend time with one another.
