Ok before I update I will tell the story of my labor... I went into the Dr. on Monday the 24th and was dilated to a 5! The Dr. asked me if I had felt any contractions and I hadn't. I had worked the day and night before, a 9 hour shift, then that same day for 8 hours. I will admit now after looking back that I was having some labor cause my back was hurting so bad! I just thought it was because I had worked to long shifts right in a row and when you are standing in a checkstand your back hurts all the time. Anyway, he sent me over to Labor and Delivery. I was on strict Bedrest. I couldn't even get up to use the toilet... I had to use a bedpan! Poor Kyle, he really showed me true love these past couple weeks. I have the most wonderful Husband anyone (or just me) could ask for. Monday night I was having contractions and still wasn't feeling anything. So since I was only 34 weeks and a 5 days they gave me some medication to stop them. On tues I got checked again and I was dilated to a 6! Wednesday I was finally allowed to get out of bed cause I was finally 35 weeks. The Dr.'s that were watching me were pretty much waiting for my Dr. to come back in town. Well as everyone knows, Thurs. was Thanksgiving... Not all that fun to spend holiday's in the hospital. Again, Kyle was and is such an amazing husband he didn't leave me at all! Even though his family was having a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, he wanted to stay with me. Finally Friday came and my actual Doctor was back in town. She came in and checked me, I was dilated to an 8! Still NO pain... so 9:30 am she broke my water! Yikes we were about to become parents! At 12:20 pm Princess Berklee Autumn Craig was born! 4lbs 15.2 oz 18 and 1/2 inches. What a beautiful baby... Ok now the update.
Berklee has been in the NICU since saturday the 29th. I have had a really hard time with her not being home. At first she couldn't keep her temperature up since she was so early and so little. She has finally overcome that issue in her short life so far. Her problem now is that she gets so excited to eat that she forgets to breathe! Her heartrate drops and that's really bad. Today the Dr. finally gave us a number of days till she gets to come home. So in 2-3 days we get to have our Princess here and no more trips to the hospital! YAY! Kyle and I can't wait! Anyway, we are so excited and blessed that she is here. Very Healthy and so Beautiful! She is such a blessing already in our lives and so loved! She truelly is our Little Princess!
