Lights

Kyle and I have been able to take a date night every weeks. It's been really nice with it being Christmas season so we can go out and freeze our butts off by looking at all the pretty lights! Kyle and I have always been kind of on the adventurous side (as long as we are doing it together) so we have come up with a new adventure plan! Almost everytime we go on a date we are going to try some place new to eat. I know, it might be scary, but it's a chance we are willing to take. Anyway, a few weeks ago we decided to go on a date with some of our really good friends Jeff and Kiera. We rode the Frontrunner down to SLC...
and can I just say it was a BLAST not having to worry about traffic and it went by so fast! We went to Temple Square and looked at the B-E-A-utiful lights! I'm so thankful for the grounds keeper there and for all the hard work because there are TONS of lights! It also is so warming to feel the spirit around the temple as well. It's a good thing you get a warm cozy feeling from the Temple because we seriously picked the FREAKING COLDEST day in the whole world!
As we were walking around the grounds I just kept thinking of how many of the people doing the same thing knew the truth. Let's just hope a lot of them especially since 90% were teenagers, wednesday mutual night, big mistake!! After walking around the light we decided to go and eat and the Lion House. Can I just say DELISH! All of us besides Kyle had never been there so it was an adventure! I definately want to go there again, maybe it will be a tradition to go after looking at the lights :) After dinner we decided to walk back thru and take some pics then head to the gateway.
We did a little shopping the caught the frontrunner back! It was such a fun date night and little Miss Berklee was so good as well! My boss teased me that I was rude for taking her out in the cold but she was the warmest of us all. She was all bundled plus in a bundle me and a blanket. She loved the lights and loved being outside! I hope to make seeing the lights a tradition even if it is to see my sweet little girl have smile on her face because she loves them. Merry Christmas everyone!
