Running

Where to start... I have these 3 wonderful cousins in my life. We are all about the same age and have been the greatest friends our whole lives. Well my cousin Alisha decided that she wanted to run a 10k this year. Our goal isn't to run the whole thing but to finish it, then we will reward ourselves by having a girls night with no kids :) A plus for Sarah and I since we are the only ones with kids. I have been kind of skeptical for awhile about it but secretly have been wanting to really accomplish it. I don't really enjoy running and haven't really figured out why people really like doing it. So here I am starting my training because I really want to do this. I know right, someone who hates running is really going to run a 10k? I want to do a 5k first just to see how it goes. I FINALLY decided to dig my treadmill out of my garage. I used to walk on it all the time before I got pregnant but since Berklee was sitting on my siatic(sp?) nerve the whole time I barely could walk without exercising let alone as much as I had been getting on the treadmill. Anyway, I started a couple weeks ago and am actually really enjoying it! I love how I feel when I first step on it, as I'm running, the sweat building up, and then of course the afterward feeling. Seriously, the best feeling! Also I have been having a lot of family issues right now that have just been bothering me. So tonight, I put on my ipod and just started running... Thank you Paramore! and thank you treadmill, you are helping me feel better. Why am I blogging about this you ask? Cause I just feel so much better after my amazing run! I'm not quite to my 10k goal but still have time to get there. I am further than I was a couple weeks ago at my running skills and that makes my feel awesome as well. Hopefully in a month I will be almost to my 10k goal in running and feeling better than EVER! Also, I can't wait until it is light outside so I can run when Kyle can stay home with Berklee while I run. I could push my stroller but I won't pushing it in the real thing so I don't want to do it now. Anyway, that is my blogging for now! Any of you that are feeling like you should do some kind of exercise don't hold back, seriously it will make you feel a little better each time you do it! Thanks again to my AMAZING cousins! I love being able to share this experience with you!
